Licensed Professional Counselor, MEd, LPC

Christine Ray-Saelee

I am a first-generation college graduate and am very familiar with overcoming challenges. I grew up in a low-income, single-family household and my only goal was to graduate high school. As I navigated through life, I was able to find my love for helping individuals and began to understand the importance of having a safe, nonjudgement zone as a foundation for growth and stability. This inspired me to solidify a path through education and discipline to get to where I am today. I obtained a certificate in Marriage and Family therapy. I am no stranger in working in diverse environments, and within this last year I have learned that there is a growing population that has a specific need for mental support from a therapist of color. It has become my passion to help this community specifically.

I started my own business 2 years ago, after working in the field 6 years. I am a licensed professional therapist, experiences in the school setting, child welfare/court involved situations, individual, family, and couple sessions.

It is important that people realize that they are not a product of our environment. My latest profession as a social worker painted a serious picture of the needs that my community has for purposeful mental health.

I am a person with passion, having the personal experiences to help individuals with processing their life experiences. I am a therapist of color which has shown to be challenging to find
